APOLLONIA
This delightful family owned and operated Kitsilano restaurant was in need of a face lift. The building, while old, had gone through an extensive renovation a few months prior to my involvement-all that was left of character was the fir floor and front door.
The art, vases, lighting and new millwork have a warm humble charm. The patrons find the space soothing and quietly elegant and the owners are delighted.
I decided the these elements would remain unchanged and planned to highlight their charm in the new design.
The palette is soft grey, linen and smokey indigo-in part an ode to my personal experience of Greece and chosen in order to compliment the aged floors.
